Briant Chen Acting with a Purpose

Born in Chicago and currently live in Los Angeles attending the University of Southern California, I have moved all around the world. My first theater role was as Moses in a bible reenactment in Shanghai, China. Since then, I have immersed myself in the world of acting with in and out of school scene study classes and vocal lessons. Eyeing the future, I am prepared to dedicate myself to my passion of acting with loads of experience in martial arts, piano, voice, and years of tennis and swimming under my belt.  Skills that set me apart include: advanced piano, 5 years of martial arts, high level tennis play, fluent Chinese and English, and experienced singing.  

I’ve been fascinated with acting and the ability to access one's emotions since some of the first TV shows and films I’ve seen. The thrill of being a working actor and the obstacles that lie ahead truly intrigues me and I firmly believe that with effort comes happiness. I am very lucky to have my passion be my work and I am truly honored to be apart of the acting community. I am inspired by the masterful craft of acting and the ability to completely change oneself into a whole other three dimensional character. I am inspired and determined to perfect this art and learn the ins and outs of what it means to be an actor.
